Kuruva is a 950 acre protected river delta on the Kabani River in the Wayanad District of Kerala. The word meaning of "Kuruva" is Island in Tribe's traditional language.The Kuruva reserve forest situated in between Bagur reserve and Padiri reserve in Wayanad district.
The importance of Kuruva is its uncommon Floras and Faunas; especially rare kinds of Birds, Orchids and Herbs.
Kuruva Island is 17 Km east of Mananthavady and 10 Km north-west of Pulpally, nearby towns in Wayanad.
